*Not here*
So blogger is quite insistent that I need to convert to its little "beta" product. For some reason, the engineer in me refuses to switch from a perfectly functional finished product to one that is "in testing." This qualm aside, I fear that the change will limit my abilities to trick out my blog as frequently as I do. Yo. I also fear change? Anyway, it is probably for the best. It seems that the beta recently launched an offensive against the establishment and decided to silence those who resisted by not allowing them to comment on others' entries. Which, as I said, is probably for the best, for I was about to crank up my zeal and rain down a fire of castigation upon not one, but two blogs today. For some reason I feel the need to use the word "neerdowell." Mmm... I guess I just did. Anyway, again, it was for the best. Nice follow through, B.
It's finals season, folks. You might think that I've grown too old for this fad, but let me tell you, it keeps you young at heart. The old ticker is feeling the burn, but that's mainly due to my intense desire to take a week off from work. I've finished off much of my finals-related goo and have only to finish a couple assignments and take a test before I'm ready to call this semester officially dead. Oh, yeah, and I also have to chuck a bunch of notebooks/papers in the air in a celebratory fashion and carefully record which quadrant of my studio apt they land in... eeerrrr... grade my student's papers. F for any assignment that lands out of reach under my bed.
"I think I really lost a lot of points for not dating each page"
"Yes... yes, you did, Timmy."
So with finals comes the inevitable graduation. And with the academic regalia including hoods, gowns, medals, and staffs, follows the obligatory ewer of boozahol. Here in gopherland, we feel the need to have commencement 2 weeks before the end of the semester, every semester. All I can figure is that they are trying to reduce the number of OD deaths. Which probably makes sense. Anyway, Emily and I suited up to wish our grad men walking a hearty congratulations downtown at the Shout piano bar. It was fairly disgustingly Winonan, but a good time, nonetheless. Also, on another evening we rocked the 90's Trivial Pursuit game. It became quickly apparent that I wasn't lying when I kept answering "I was too busy studying to have ever heard about that." And I was. *weep.* That didn't mean that I didn't have a couple awesome calls, though. Rationalizing TP? Heck yeah. Freaking Betty Crocker.
Mmm... being in the NFC right now is about half as awesome as you think it might be. Perhaps even a quarter.
Is it Christmas yet?

I'm pretty sure that's how they do it in law school, anyway

I'm thankful for finals being over and a snowless Christmas.
Soo... what are YOU thankful for?
Perhaps you should teach those jerk TAs in the biology department on how to grade correctly. i.e.by really not caring at all.
Lame comment. But at least you aren't sitting by me this time!
