Ya know...

I don't even want to get into what happened on Saturday. Except to say that I was actually realistic (and right on) when I called our record back in August. Rough breaks.

But I can say that I did get to see a little revenge exacted. Indeed, I watched as the recipient of the "Bush Push" was intercepted in the final seconds of his attempt to overthrow the vicious scourge of the north, the Minnesota Vikings. From the second row. From the SECOND row. Emily's father came up with Jolly George generously bearing 4 tickets right near the grass in the pleasantly heated HHH Metrodome. This being the very first NFL game I'd ever attended, I was quite excited to see how it was done. A dome dog and a $6 brew are surprisingly delicious. It was a great way to end the holiday weekend.

Anyway, over the weekend I saw a ton of old schoolmates which was, as usual, both fun and exhausting. It was a rocking time. Emily rocks, Sarah is an "extreme cutie," Michael keeps... doing his thing, The Blue Eyed gopher was in classic form, her cousin was not, 400 people I knew were there, and I think I managed to get lung cancer.

Oh, and I did my part for the herd this year. I got my flu shot. Take that, influenza.

Laziness

It turns out that I can be a fairly lazy gentleman, if the opportunity excuse for lazing presents itself. I have not seen the inside of a grocery store in weeks. Perhaps months. I have made no purchases for my apartment. I have made no additions to my wardrobe. I have made no repairs that require exotic tools. I do not leave my 15 block bubble.

Perhaps that it because to leave would require tempting fate by saddling up iOff. He doesn't much care for the bit.

As such, I've restricted my travel mainly to bicycling (Too lazy to buy the bus pass). You will remember how I, in a flurry of nonlaziness, successfully repaired my bicycle during the summer months with great gobs of epoxy after it tried on numerous occasions to kill me.

I guess epoxy doesn't like bitter cold.

And Mybichael still hates me. Exhibit A:

So that idiot you see flailing about, pedalling furiously down University Ave with the flat tires and moving at a snail's pace... is me. My high gear sprockets are toast. Feel free to honk maliciously. It may please Mybike, but it will only hasten his death.

Update

I hate the title "Update."

I guess it is hard for me to explain why, exactly, it bugs me, but I suppose I can sum up the net effect in this way: I'm bored before I even start reading the body. It's a fact. Your update is meaningless to me because it generally consists of zero creativity, very little valuable information, a tiny dash of humor, and a laundry list of activities I did not and will not witness, be affected by, or care about.

This being the case, allow me to update you.

The other day was Halloween and I was roundly made fun of for having been suckered out of 3 years of festivities in a row. My triumphant return was made in the form of a Blue Man. I was pretty blue. And by the end of the night and a few smurfings, I was pretty cracked up. The size 18 women's stretch pleather pants made a screaming comeback (Thanks, Dooz!).

A bunch of other stuff happened, no doubt. I'm sure I could look into what it actually was, but honestly, would it add to the depth of this post? Most likely not.

This past weekend I watched the Irish manhandle the Tarheels. It was every bit as delicious as the concoction Emily made out of 45 different kinds of booze in our frigid spot perched on the wall at the waaay top of the stadium with Shavebot on the southeast side. It hit the spot. In classic form, EU and I decided to head bendward a good 12 hrs before actual departure. We stayed with the Devil in an attic in the ghetto. It was nice. Unfortunately we were very limited in terms of modes of transportation, but still managed to see a bunch of people at tailgates, Oyster, etc. Party on.

My bro is apparently back in the U.S.

It is getting very cold up here.

I've been harassed about some "Marker Party" this weekend.

Apparently I am engaged.

Apparently I vomit on children.

Apparently none of that has been substantiated.

Apparently the password is no longer "hotstuff."

I had chicken kiev, 90 second Uncle Ben's rice, and peas tonight.

I spent a week making a poster that will most likely be derided and quite possibly never even shown.

I called O'Donovan's Irish Pub and it turns out that they will not be carrying CSTV this weekend, and therefore will not be showing the ND-Air Force match up.

Internet radio, anyone?

Life on the Line

You might expect that the brief hiatus I have been taking from the blogosphere may be attributed to such pedestrian nuisances such as work, school, studying, friends, sleep, food, exercise, or compulsive bluegraysky reloading, but I assure you that this is not the case. No, I am not entertaining notions of doing any of the above feats. Especially eating, apparently. I'm real skinny. My disappearance is due primarily to the fact that I wish to not heirlessly die 45 years from now. Apparently the state of California (for which I host a great deal of respect) has determined that my newly purchased mouse is toxic to my reproductive health. Get this: A human input device, a device that, by it's definition, must come into immediate, physical contact with its human user, contains dangerous amounts of lead. They claim that I should wash my hands after every use of this stupid mouse. I claim that it is a good excuse for never getting anything done on my computer.
