Futbol
So a couple of weeks ago I flew to a Notre Dame football game. Flew. 59 minutes. It was awesome.
I was on the field, got to see some awesome people, and hung with some quality geriatrics.
Last weekend, I wanted to check out some foliage, if for no other reason than nostalgia's sake. I convinced Emily to go with me down highway 61 as far as Red Wing, MN. There, we found an art festival that SERVED MINIDONUTS. It's true. I also got made fun of in a Caribou Coffee shop housed in a renovated rail depot. Fact.
Anyway, while checking out some of the colors, we received word via Midwest Wireless' pervasive high-tech network of fiber and wireless cells that there were to be Norwegian Fjord horses playing soccer in Winona. Horses. Playing Soccer.
And they did.
Apparently I ended up at the world Norwegian Fjord Community World Gathering Pow-wow, and Rendezvous. People from all over the globe came to show off these ponies in a beautiful setting overlooking the mighty Mississippi River valley. I also met a gigajillionare. And took some of her food home.
I tried to get Emily to ride a horse, too.
She didn't.
And the leaves were OK.

The steeds playing soccer was good. However, the gigajillionaire's food was not. Oh, well. I guess you can't have your Fjord and ride it too. Too bad, since they're supposedly so versatile.
