Show them the way

The other day, I was sitting in an electronics lab setting up an experiment that is used to demonstrate the operation and purpose of a DC power supply, digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and function generator. I was chatting with some senior EE about the professor for the class, when he walked through the door. He engaged us in some small talk and told us to expect a small class for the evening. After a bit, he looked around with a puzzled expression on his face and said: "So... Where's the TA?" To which I responded: "I'm the TA."

So U professors care very deeply about their undergraduate students. So much so that they occasionally know the names and faces of the TA's sworn to teach and protect them.

It was to be expected, however. He didn't show up for the earlier class I taught, leaving me with no information as to what the class was about, who was showing up, or what the students were to do. So I did what any ND grad would do. I asked them about football.

They stared back with blank faces. Football? What is this "Football?"

My translation: "Gophers will be National Champs in 06."

I was the only one who got the question right when the prof asked who the Gophs were playing this weekend for our current events quiz.

Ok, that was a poorly structured sentence but you get the idea.

Sooo... who's up for a Maroon/Gold Bowl game?
