The other day I decided to sneak up on my burg and catch it unawares in the morning hours. I laced up my tennis shoes and threw on a thick hoodie and wandered up and down the shore in the brisk air. Not a bad view, considering it is mere footsteps from my stinking abode. I had grand plans of integrating them into my template, but... aside from the footer pic, didn't quite get to it. Take a looksee.
Third Ave bridge stately presides over the pool between the upper and lower falls.
The Mississippi pounds over the man-made apron at St. Anthony Falls: Largest elevation drop on the entire descent towards the Gulf.
Condos and the Guthrie Theater rise up among the milling ruins preservation effort: Minneapolis returns to its roots.
The Stone Arch Bridge is a fast way to get downtown for Twins games (Even if some wimps think it is a long walk).
Hennepin Ave suspension bridge: Site of the first Mississippi crossing.
Those are some great pictures! I'm not sure if you're into freelance but if so, let me know! -dick@herffjones.com
